Navigating with a map and compass seems to be a disappearing skill. However, I think using a map and compass is a basic requirement for anyone traveling in the wilderness, even if they might also have a phone or other GPS navigation devices with them. With this video, I want to lower the threshold for any hiker or camper to start orienteering with a map and compass. Experienced hikers usually know how to take the deviation into account, but polar correction is something that many experienced hikers are unfamiliar with.
