Cilveti (in Basque and officially Zilbeti) is a Spanish town and a council of the Foral Community of Navarre belonging to the municipality of Erro. It is located in the Merindad de Sangüesa, in the Auñamendi Region.12 Its population in 2014 was 62 inhabitants (INE). Toponym The meaning of the toponym is unknown. Caro Baroja believes that the first part of the name is zil- 'hole' (variant of the more common zul-o).3 In ancient documentation it appears as Cilbeti (1187, NEN), Cilueti (1212, 1238, NEN), Cilveti (1280, NEN), Çilueti (1189, 1203, 1218, NEN) and Çillueti (1366, NEN).3
