In this area along the Nederrijn near Randwijk we are laying the foundation for a varied nature reserve. By extracting clay, our subsidiary Delgromij is creating a shallow channel, gentle bank zones and open and shallow water and river marsh. These contours are already clearly visible after six months. In the future, this will be alternated with sandy grass and herb vegetation and copses. In this way, we are expanding the nature reserve. We are aligning the layout of the area in the western part with the eastern part. This will create a larger, contiguous nature reserve. Clay extraction is the carrier of this area development. Colleagues Ronald Waanders and Jos Jansen Smit talk about the execution of the work in this film.
