A high-level delegation from South Korea has gone to NATO to report on the deployment of North Korean troops in Russia and Pyongyang's exact involvement in the war against Ukraine. According to reports from the US Pentagon, around 3,000 North Korean soldiers are currently on Russian soil with the aim of reinforcing the country in the conflict. Experts say that in exchange for this support, North Korea will try to acquire Russian military technology, from surveillance satellites to submarines. Russia and North Korea have strengthened their political and military alliance since the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine. Both countries are subject to international sanctions, Pyongyang for its nuclear weapons programme and Moscow for its war against kyiv.
