A perfect event for enthusiasts of tugboats, pushers and marine engines like us. The National Tugboat Days were initiated by a number of tugboat owners, who initially set themselves the goal of not only honoring historical tugboats but also showing them to a wide audience. The enthusiasts wanted to prevent these ships from falling into oblivion. During the event it is possible to view the tugboats, take a look in the engine room and in 2018 it is possible to sail on the authentic steam tugs ss Pieter Boele and ss Maarten. In addition, numerous supporting activities take place. Both on the water and on shore. Historical tugboats that are still in use make an active contribution to this.
