The trailer for Narcissus and Goldmund.Content: Two contrasting life plans and characters form the core of the story of Narcissus and Goldmund. On the one hand, there is the ascetic and deeply religious monastery student Narcissus (Sabin Tambrea), and on the other hand, the young, impetuous Goldmund (Jannis Niewöhner), who is brought to the medieval monastery of Mariabronn by his father. Narcissus has devoted himself to the strict monastery rules and the associated life of renunciation with every fiber of his heart, and Goldmund initially tries to emulate him. A deep friendship quickly develops between the two very different boys. But Narcissus realizes that Goldmund must take a different path: his spirited and fun-loving friend is not made for the austere monastery life and he encourages him to leave the abbey. So Goldmund sets off on a restless journey. He experiences years full of happiness, freedom and contentment, but also misery, war, death and the deadly plague epidemic. Many women cross his path until he finds his great love in Lene (Henriette Confurius). He also matures as an artist and finds fulfillment. But then the two meet again under dramatic circumstances, which will put their friendship to the test... Actors: Jannis Niewöhner, Sabin Tambrea, André M.
