The emotional vampires mentioned fall under the severe personality disorder narcissism, the type of malignant, grandiose or covert, vulnerable narcissist. The following descriptions are unfortunately sad facts. They do not see people as complete individuals with their own personality, rights and characteristics, but only as objects, selfish for their own benefit, advantage and as a source of energy. Their behavior is like that of predators, unscrupulous, they manipulate, cheat, hurt and lie to others for selfish advantage, without feeling remorse or guilt. To achieve their goal, they hurt and abuse people emotionally and psychologically, without giving a single thought to the consequences or the feelings of others, because they lack any empathy and conscience, which makes them very dangerous. They cannot be alone and always need people around them. Like small children, they always need a reaction to their actions and being. They are dependent on constant admiration, confirmation, attention and even on the emotions of others, which they themselves generate in the victim in order to reap the desired emotion. This form of energy is called the narcissistic supply, without which they could not live. They are addicted to it, like a drug junkie who needs his drug, narcissists and some Cluster Bs have to absorb the energy and emotions of other people in order to survive.
