On February 2, 2024, I set off on an 18-day road trip through Namibia with a long-time friend. It was an adventurous and beautiful journey through an exciting country. Over 4000 km - mostly over sand and gravel roads - the route took us, luckily without a flat tire. From Windhoek we went straight through the Kalahari to the beautiful Jansen Farm, from there past the quiver tree forest and the Giants Playground to the Fish River Lodge, where we stayed right next to the canyon. We continued past the wild horses of the Namib to Lüderitz. Then we drove to the dreamy Duwisib Castle and through the Namib Desert, Sossusvlei and Deadvlei to Swakopmund. We continued to Spitzkoppe, the Hohenstein Mountains and Damaraland to the Waterberg to visit old friends, the Diekmann family, on the beautiful Hamakari Farm. Many sundowners and wild excursions to the special wildlife of Africa later, we drove back to Windhoek. This 70-minute film shows the most beautiful impressions of our trip in chronological order.
