MY STEPFATHER YOUR STEPMOTHER - 1977 Full Synopsis: This film tries to approach the audience with songs and stories that drain tears. There are seven songs sung, plus one Indian song, Ellya Khadam's specialty. Almost all the roles that are played by singers sing. Dina (Dina Mariana) is relied on to sing sad songs. Her mother (Lily Ibrahim/Heri Herawati), a widow and teacher, is married to Hendra (May Sumarna), a widowed singer with two children. Intrigue comes from the widower's sister (Ellya Khadam), an old spinster, and her partner, the milkman Abdullah (Usman Said) to thwart this married life. His efforts almost succeed. The children run away, Hendra's in-laws who come from the village are hurt by Ellya's treatment. So Ellya's secret is revealed. This old spinster used to have a mental illness. Finally everything can be resolved. Ellya is proposed to by Abdullah.
