What was supposed to be a festive Easter weekend for the Knoll family suddenly turns into a drama in 2011. Father Gerald is cycling to church with twin brothers Stef and Melvin, when a motorist overlooks five-year-old Melvin. Two days later, their daughter Meike is born. The family balances on a thin line between joy and sorrow; death and life. All certainties in Gerald's life waver and he ends up in a search for answers to life's questions. A special experience in the forest changes everything for Gerald and his faith is now stronger than ever.
