#Musculardystrophy #Inclusion #SevereDisability Yannick Maier is 21 years old and suffers from #Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a severe form of muscular atrophy. His body has been breaking down muscles since childhood. By fifth grade he could no longer walk. Since then he has been dependent on a wheelchair. But Yannick Maier is not going to let that get him down and is living an active life: he goes on trips into nature, sails across the Mediterranean with his family and works as an office management clerk for the Diocese of Rottenburg-Stuttgart. He looked for a job for more than a year before he was successful in the so-called primary labor market. A facility for the disabled was out of the question for him. His story is encouraging. Courage to dare what seems impossible at first glance. Courage not to give up when everything seems hopeless. Courage to fight for your dreams and stand up for your rights. Luisa Weinig and Constanze Stark accompanied Yannick Maier for a day - in the office, at home and on tour.
