It's easy to prepare and the more often you reheat it, the better it tastes. Prepared in a Dutch oven on the grill or the classic way with coals underneath, it's twice as much fun. Our recipe with beef shank slices and seasoned butter has even more flavor and umami! So get your pot out and make yourself, your family and friends a delicious goulash. Recipe: Servings: 10-12 Preparation: approx. 25 mins Total time 3-4 hours Ingredients: 2 kg beef leg slices 2 kg onions 8 tbsp paprika powder 8 tbsp caraway seeds 1 tsp marjoram Salt Pepper Sugar 3 bay leaves 4 pointed peppers (optional) 1 bunch of parsley 8 cloves of garlic 1 tube of tomato paste 1 chili (optional) 1 lemon 1 bottle of red wine 500 ml beef broth 125g butter Clarified butter Preparation: Cut the meat into 5cm pieces and season with salt. Roughly dice the onions. Roast the caraway seeds and crush them in a mortar. Fry the meat and bones one after the other in clarified butter. Then fry the onions and season with salt and sugar. Add the tomato paste and let it roast. Add the paprika powder and deglaze with red wine. Add the bay leaf, caraway, chili and the beef stock and season with salt and pepper. Then add the meat and simmer for 2 hours at 150 degrees. Finely chop the zest of a lemon and the garlic and mix with the butter. After 2 hours, add the butter, the pepper pieces and the juice of half a lemon and simmer for about another hour.
