My CHEAP YAMAHA R1 WRECK is worse than expected... I thought I was getting a good deal when I bought this wrecked 2007 Yamaha R1 from a junkyard, but there is a lot more damage than the pictures showed... A pre-sale inspection would have been a good idea... In this video I start to take apart my wrecked Yamaha R1, I remove the subframe, tank, remnants of the fairing etc and realize that not only is the oil pan broken but the engine case has a hole in it too... No wonder it was leaking oil into my garage! OK, that hole in the engine block is not structurally compromising so I'll be able to TIG weld it and have this engine purring quickly! There is also a broken screw in the block so I need to get that out, because I want to be able to use as many screws as possible on the oil pan so I don't have any oil leaks. More in the next video!
