When brakes do not work well, it may be due to one of several reasons: Worn pads, crystallized pads, and a bubbly coolant system. Worn pads should be replaced immediately. If the pads have crystallized, they can be cleaned with sandpaper. If there are bubbles of air or brake fluid, the lines should be bled. Loosen the nut on the bleed valve and pump the brake pedal several times. To tighten the nut on the bleed valve, press the pedal and hold it until the nut is firm. Top up the brake fluid in the container, as bleeding practically all the brake fluid is lost. Use new fluid.
