Muszyna and its surroundings are called the Land of Gentleness. This health resort is certainly calmer than the nearby and iconic Krynica-Zdrój. Together with Żegiestów Zdrój, it lies in the Poprad valley surrounded by the Beskid Sądecki mountains. The beginnings of the settlement in this place are associated with the former trade route leading from Hungary into Poland. Many monuments from the Middle Ages and the former "Muszyna State" have remained in the city and its surroundings. However, it is the nature, climate and, of course, mineral waters that are the greatest treasures of the city and region. Żegiestów-Zdrój is a smaller but beautifully located health resort built on "raw roots" in the 19th century. Its greatest asset is its location on the Poprad river among the forests of the Beskid Sądecki.
