How does an idea become a museum for everyone? Since setting up his company in the 1970s, the entrepreneur Reinhard Ernst has been collecting abstract art. On his business trips to Europe, Asia and the USA, his interest in paintings and sculptures grew. Over the years, Ernst amassed an extensive, significant collection of several hundred works. The businessman, who lives in Wiesbaden, had long wanted to make his art accessible to the public. This is how the idea of a museum for abstract art was born.
