❗️ Content Note: This film is about a child as the victim of a violent crime and about sexual abuse ❗️ Dorsten, 1999: On the way home in a housing estate, 10-year-old Ali suddenly disappears without a trace. All searches come to nothing and it seems as if no one knows where the child has gone. It is not until a year later that the boy's body is found in an abandoned rented apartment in the immediate vicinity. The tenant, Karsten B., is no stranger to the police. On the day of the crime, Karsten B. happens to meet ten-year-old Ali. Ali then accompanies Karsten B. to his apartment to look at a rabbit. In the apartment, Karsten B. abuses the child and then kills him. He keeps his body in the #freezer for a year until the landlord finds it there. Our host Hamzi wants to know what exactly happened in the housing estate and why the police were unable to identify the perpetrator for a long time. Hamzi speaks to Karsten B.'s lawyer about the crime and the perpetrator. Psychologist Thomas Weber explains the background to the crime. Every morning I listen to a true crime podcast to wake up and in the evening I watch a crime documentary to go to sleep. So professionally I've landed exactly where I belong; now I tell true crime stories myself. I delve into the depths of people and try to "get to know" murderers; I visit real murder scenes and speak to victims and those involved. Come with me on a murderous journey of discovery - as the host and one of the faces of this channel I'd be happy to take you by the hand.
