The Catholic parish church of St. Philippus (Westendstrasse 249) in Munich is still part of the Laim district and is close to the Westend and Sendling districts. The building was constructed in 1981-82, the architect was Peter Biedermann. There is a campanile facing the street, and an inner courtyard leads to the church building, which is lit by a row of windows in a pent roof structure. The five-part altarpiece was added in 1991. The tower had no bells until recently, probably due to a lack of money, but they were finally able to buy a chime, which was cast by Bachert in Neunkirchen near Heilbronn. The bells were consecrated on April 6, and from April 8 the bells were lifted into the tower and installed. The first ringing took place on Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019. The tones create a Westminster motif on D flat' - G flat' - A flat' - B flat'.
