Since fiscal year 2021, JICA has been holding a series of online seminars titled "Thinking about Multicultural Coexistence and Japanese Society" to address various issues facing Japanese people living in Japan, such as employment, daily life, education and schooling, and retirement, and to think about a multicultural society together with experts and viewers. In this 21st episode, we introduce the Japanese Supporters*, one of JICA's efforts to promote a multicultural society, and we have had two Japanese Supporters (a third-generation Brazilian Japanese and a third-generation Argentinian Japanese) and two people in charge of the host organization talk about the current situation of the Japanese community in the areas where Japanese Supporters are dispatched, the support situation for Japanese people, the activities of Japanese Supporters, and future goals.
