On January 13, a young girl lost her life on her way to school, mowed down by a 19-ton truck. Heavy goods vehicles circulate in large numbers in the narrow streets of the 16th arrondissement of Paris, the exit to the ring road. While the driver does not seem to have seen Sixtine crossing, local residents denounce their difficult cohabitation with these road behemoths. The tragic accident highlights the danger of blind spots. From the top of their cabs, truck drivers have a very limited view of pedestrians in the narrow streets of Paris. Especially when they turn right. We boarded a heavy goods vehicle to see for ourselves.
