The July expedition fishing trip was my last fishing trip in 2024. Recently, there has been heavy rain every year that changes the scenery of the river, and the Satogawa River that I went to in March has finally collapsed, and it seemed that there were almost no amago left. It seems that the average size of amago is getting smaller every year in the mountain streams of my home river. I think this is because there are fewer rivers that are easy to enter due to forest road closures, and anglers are concentrating there. I also walked to the upstream entrance point of one of the two rivers that I mainly went to, along a collapsed forest road, but the collapse of the slope of the forest road made it difficult to walk there. Still, I'm glad I was able to enjoy fishing in my home river in 2024. I was able to catch a 100cm char on the expedition fishing trip, so I'm very satisfied with the result.
