Here comes the second of three parts of the video series "Converting a motorhome to a lithium battery system". Today it's about fitting and installing the battery charger Victron Blue Smart IP22, 30 A, 12 V, 1 Schuko, Bluetooth. Our motorhome comes with a factory-installed battery charger, but it can't charge lithium batteries. So I looked for an alternative. In the first part, I chose the Victron company. Consequently, a Victron product is also used in the second part. In my video, I show how I went about it and encountered one or two problems. Replacing the old charger worked even better than expected. All that was missing was the installation via app or the integration into the Victron system. I'm showing all of this as a hobbyist without much prior knowledge. I think that almost every motorhome owner should be able to convert their battery system. It's easy if you can use the manufacturer's existing infrastructure. This means you don't need to lay any additional cables or worry about the installation positions. In the end, this installation was also successful. I'm already looking forward to the third part, because then it will be about the LiFePO4 lithium batteries.
