I crossed the states of São Paulo, Paraná, Santa Catarina, and Rio Grande do Sul until I reached Bagé, the starting point for the detour I made in Uruguay. From Bagé, I followed the border line, which I followed until I reached Santana do Livramento, then I continued along the border route until I reached Vila Thomaz Albornoz, a “disputed” territory between Brazil and Uruguay. Continuing the trip, I skirted the entire length of Uruguay, passing through some cities such as: Artigas, Bella Unión, Salto, Mercedes, Colonia do Sacramento, Montevideo, Piriápolis, Punta Ballena, Punta del Este, José Ignacio, Cabo Polonio (I didn’t enter the reserve), Barra del Chuy, Rio Branco, Melo, and finally Aceguá, thus completing the detour in Uruguay.
