Motorcycle tour through France Five motorcycles and a motorcycle sidecar. 9 days through France in June 2024. Day 1: Via Mulhouse to Ferrette, then partly through Switzerland to Saint-Ursanne. Along the Doubs to Saint-Hippolyte. On the D39, D47 to Pontarlier then to Les Fourgs. Day 2: Start in Les Fourgs, along the river Doubs, cross into Switzerland and along Lac de Joux. A little later we leave Switzerland and drive on the D991, D16 and D1206 into the Rhone Valley. Continuing along the Swiss border, we bypass Geneva until we join the Route des Grandes Alps (RdGA) at the Col de la Colombière. Then continue on the RdGA over the Col des Aravis to Albertville. Day 3: We start in Albertville, drive to Lac de Rosseland, around the reservoir to the Cormet de Roselend. On the D902 of the RdGA over the Col de l'Iseran, the highest paved mountain pass in the Alps (2770m). Following the RdGA, we then go over the Col du Télégraphe, Col du Galibier, Col du Lautaret to Briançon. Day 4: Start in Briançon, on the D902 over the Col d'Izoard. Then a detour to the Col de la Bonette, a short way back and then we continue south on the RdGA over the Col de la Cayolle and the Vars valley to Guillaumes. Day 5: Start in Guillaumes, then on the D2202 through the Gorges de Daluis. A few km on the N202 to Saint-Julien-du-Verdon. On the D955 along the Lac de Castillon to Castellane. In La Palud-sur-Verdon we turn onto the D23 and do a circuit "anti-clockwise". Short detour to the lake and then on the D952, 907,... to Lurs. Day 6: Start in Lurs, then on the D4100 towards Apt, partly on side roads. Due to the weather, we break off the day tour in Apt and drive directly to the hotel in Sault. Day 7: Start in Sault, via the D164, D974 over Mont Ventoux, continue on small roads and small passes north to Die. Day 8: Start in Die, directly over the Col de Rousset into the Vercors. Continue to Combe Laval, and Pont-en-Royans to the Gorges de Nan. After the Vercor, we take a more westerly route to Les Fourgs. Day 9: Start in Les Fourgs, towards home
