In the summer of 2020, I went on an interesting motorcycle tour along the Wupper. The journey begins at the mouth of the Wupper on the Rhine in Leverkusen Rheindorf and ends at the source of the Wupper near Marienheide in the Oberbergischer Kreis. The tour goes through places like Leichlingen, Solingen, Wuppertal, Radevormwald, Hückeswagen, Wipperfürth and past the well-known dams in the Bergisches Land, such as the Wuppertalsperre and the Bevertalsperre. This time there is a lot to see, beautiful half-timbered houses, typical Bergisches slate facades, Burg Castle on the Wupper, many industrial monuments in the Bergisches Land such as the Henrichs drop forge from the LVR or the Wülfing textile factory and the suspension railway in Wuppertal. Of course, it goes over beautiful, winding motorcycle routes in the Bergisches Land. Not a tour for speeders but rather for bikers who want to see something of the region.
