It was not a completely traditional opening speech that Morten Messerschmidt gave on 3 October 2024. A gaping assembly in the parliament hall could witness the chairman of the Danish People's Party go down the throat of Lars Løkke Rasmussen. For several minutes, the DF chairman listed from the long list of rubbish cases that Lars Løkke Rasmussen drags around. Everything from fraud by Hanne Boel to an absurd misuse of tax dollars to failed reforms, which the Danes still suffer from today, was listed. The purpose was clear: It must simply be the end of Lars Løkke Rasmussen. If it goes to the Danish People's Party, that man will never come to power again after the next general election.
