The police are called to a body discovery. Steffi, a young woman from the Essen street prostitution scene, is lying in Michael S.'s house. She is 23 years old and has a 6-year-old son who lives with her father. She had come to Krefeld to start a new life away from the street prostitution scene: Michael S. had offered her a training position in his mother's hotel. Steffi's life seemed to be taking a turn for the better. But after a short time, Michael S. becomes violent towards Steffi. She files a complaint, but the police do nothing. Her body is found a short time later. What happened to Steffi and why did the police not investigate?
