Two people were killed in a bomb explosion in central Moscow on Tuesday. The bomb killed a senior Russian general in charge of nuclear defence forces, Igor Kirillov, and his assistant. The BBC has been told by sources that Ukrainian security services were behind the Russian general's assassination. The informant told the paper that Kirillov was a "legitimate target" because he was a war criminal who had ordered the use of banned chemical weapons against the Ukrainian army. Meanwhile, Ukrainian media have also reported that Lieutenant General Kirillov was killed by Ukrainian security services.
