The journey begins in Kotor, the center of commerce and art in the Middle Ages. At Trg od Oruzja, we get a glimpse of the architecture and culture of the Venetian Republic. We head to the Ladder of Kotor, a recently famous hiking trail. As we climb the winding mountain path, we arrive at St. John Fortress, where you can see the entire view of Kotor at a glance. On the way down, we stop by a mountain hut in the village below the fortress to rest. We taste rakia, a traditional liquor, and börek, a traditional pie, with the owners. Head to Perast on the Adriatic coast. Our Lady of the Rocks is said to have been created by a fisherman who found a holy image on a reef and filled in the surrounding rocks. Visit the monastery on the island to see the Virgin and Child statue that the fisherman found. Budva, a coastal town known as the “Jewel of the Adriatic.” Visit a fourth-generation fisherman’s restaurant and enjoy a meal made with freshly caught seafood. Lovcen Mountain, where Montenegro’s name comes from, meaning “black mountain.” At the top is the mausoleum of Petar II Petrović Negosi, the former king of Montenegro. Negosi was the first to enact laws and defended the territory from the Ottoman Empire, among other accomplishments, and is currently considered the most respected figure by Montenegrins. In Negusi, the hometown of Negosi, we learn about the process of creating Negusi Prosciutto, a traditional Montenegrin ham. Mojkovac, a small mountain village in eastern Montenegro. Here, we meet a craftsman who makes the traditional Montenegrin instrument, the gusle. We end the trip by tasting country food prepared by the craftsman's wife. ■ (2) World Theme Travel - Part 2 How about living here for a month in Europe? (Aired on June 4, 2024) We start at the Durdevica Tara Bridge in Montenegro. The blue waters of the Tara River flowing underneath add to the mystique. Zabljak, a mountain village located in Durmitor National Park, is surrounded by beautiful nature and has many homestays where you can enjoy a rural experience. I made a reservation and visited because most of the houses run homestays. Mr. Blagić, who used to be a chef at the Yugoslav Embassy, personally roasts pita, a traditional food, in a wood-fired oven and serves it to his guests. The most beautiful thing is spending time with family. This is how they treat their guests. Feeling the warmth of family, we set off on our next journey. We arrive at Tirana, the capital of Albania. In the center of Tirana, there is a square named after Skanderbeg, who fought against the Ottoman Empire and was praised as a national hero. Meanwhile, we learn about Albania’s history in a hidden underground bunker built by Endro Hoxha. In the Albanian city of Kruje, we meet locals who have been making traditional hats and weaving carpets for 7 generations. We can feel their pride as Albanians while interviewing them. In the Divjaka-Karavasta National Park, the best bird watching spot in Albania, we can see the rare Dalmatian pelican, which is endangered worldwide! We stop by a unique restaurant where they serve food on horseback. We taste warm grilled fish thanks to the owner who served us quickly on horseback. Berat, a city with 1,000 windows. The Ottoman houses with many windows create a unique landscape. We take a short break at a lodging with a view of Mount Tomor and Berat. We eat traditional home-cooked meals with her family in a warm welcome and sing a song in return to end the trip. #TVRoBoNiGolaDunDocumentary
