Monte Verde is a district of the municipality of Camanducaia, in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. It is located in the extreme southwest of the state, in the Serra da Mantiqueira, 484 km from the capital, Belo Horizonte. It is accessible via the Fernão Dias Highway, part of the BR-381, with the final 30 km on a steep road. Another access option is the dirt road that connects Monte Verde to the district of São Francisco Xavier, in the municipality of São José dos Campos, state of São Paulo, with access via the Monteiro Lobato Highway.
