The environment has distinctly Dolomite characteristics; the summit, by no means banal, is very rarely visited but recommended, especially with the crossing from S to NE, to deepen your knowledge of the splendid mountains that surround the Sappada basin. CLIMB: We start from Sappada, Lerpa village, we descend to the Piave at an altitude of 1169 m and follow the CAI 313 signpost, taking the forest road that climbs to the Digola pass, which we then leave at an altitude of 1350 to take another road on the right (CAI 311 signpost), which further on turns into a mule track and finally into a steep path up to the Forcella Terza Piccola, altitude 2188 (3:00 hours). From here, go up to the right and enter a scree channel (faded red signs guide you to the summit), which you follow by walking and climbing sections of I°, until it is blocked by a large wedged boulder, which you overcome by passing under it, or you go around it by climbing the left wall, both possibilities with difficulty of II°, not exposed. This way you reach a small fork that overlooks the overhanging north wall. You proceed on the wall to the left, climbing diagonally for a few steps to the left and then straight up to the end of the wall that turns into a blade, which divides the channel you have just climbed from the adjacent one. You follow the blade for a few meters, until its end, which also coincides with the end of the gully to our left (from the fork below I° with increasingly greater exposure) and the start of the meadows, which descend from the summit. Less than a hundred meters of comfortable walking and you reach the wide and panoramic summit (0:30 hours from Forcella Terza Piccola).
