ROUTE DESCRIPTION After parking the car at the base of Via Montericco, go up the asphalt road, which shortly after is closed to vehicular traffic. Once we arrived at the Casa Rossa, we went up to the hermitage, temporarily leaving path number 6. The hermitage is beautiful, absolutely worth a visit. After going down the large staircase, we re-intercepted the 6 at the statue of Hercules (terrace of the same name) and continued to the Monte Castello crossroads. With a 5-minute detour you reach the top, where there are some remains of war trenches. Back at the crossroads, you go around the entire circumnavigation of Monte Ricco, ignoring the various deviations and variants, until you close the loop at the Hairpin bend at altitude 203.
