Excursion of April 22, 2021. We are in Lombardy, in the province of Varese, in the 5 Vette Natural Park. A circular tour of about 10 km, for 500 meters of altitude difference, from Marzio to Monte Piambello, passing by the Sasso Bolle, a fabulous erratic boulder with carved steps, and by the Rocce Rosse, so called because of the red porphyry. Splendid views, lots of nature, history and adventure, exploring the tunnels and fortifications of the Cadorna Line.
