The guest of the episode is Katarzyna Małek, who spent three months in a Polish labor camp near the Italian town of Orta Nova. Polish labor camps in the Apulia region became famous in 2006, when Italian carabinieri freed about a hundred Poles held in a primitive camp near the town of Foggia. "There were rapes, forced prostitution, abuse with metal bars in front of other workers. Several people committed suicide, we do not rule out that there were also murders there" - this is how the then Commander-in-Chief of the Police Marek Bieńkowski said about the labor camps. During a joint operation by Polish policemen and Italian carabinieri, 25 people involved in the procedure were detained in both countries. Among the detained members of the criminal group, in addition to Poles, were also Ukrainians, Algerians and one Italian, the owner of a farm where the law was broken. The detainees were charged with belonging to a criminal group involved in human trafficking and forcing them to work as slaves. In 2008, a court in Bari sentenced 16 Poles to between four and ten years in prison. In 2013, a court in Kraków issued sentences in the case of 22 people involved in the operation. The maximum penalty was 8 years in prison. 📨 If you have experienced working in a similar place, get in touch 👉 [email protected] – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – My Instagram: / rafal_gebura My Facebook: / 7metrowpodzieemia My TikTok: / rafal_gebura My book: https://alt.pl/sklep/otworz-oczy-rafa...
