Abdullah Sultan, a student at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine who came for an examination with a complaint of mitral valve insufficiency in his heart, regained his health with a small incision endoscopic mitral valve repair surgery. Endoscopic heart surgery, also known as closed heart surgery, is a minimally invasive (small incision) surgical technique that causes minimal tissue damage. The area where the operation will be performed is reached through small incisions opened in the chest area with special devices. An endoscopic camera is used to view the surgical area. Different endoscopic devices that allow the surgeon to move comfortably during the operation and to achieve maximum success of the surgical treatment to be applied also minimize tissue damage and shorten the recovery period considerably compared to open surgeries. However, for endoscopic surgery, the patient's chest wall and heart anatomy must be suitable for this surgery. There are two different surgical methods with small incisions: 1- Endoscopic Surgery 2- Robotic Surgery Advantages of Endoscopic Heart Surgery https://www.mustafaguden.com/2017/08/...
