MITOSIS AS YOU'VE NEVER SEEN IT BEFORE! In this video lesson, Professor Paulo Jubilut uses state-of-the-art resources to really help you understand this complicated subject. No more meaningless rote learning. Learn the phases of mitosis in a natural way and ace your tests. Mitosis is a continuous process of cell division that occurs in 4 phases: prophase, metaphase, anaphase and telophase. In prophase, chromosomes condense, the nucleolus begins to disappear, the mitotic spindle is formed, the nuclear envelope fragments and the spindle fibers attach to the centromeres of the chromosomes. In metaphase, the centrosomes arrive at the poles of the cell, the chromosomes reach their maximum degree of condensation and the equatorial plate is formed. In anaphase, the sister chromatids separate and are now called chromosomes. And in telophase, the nuclear envelope reorganizes in each daughter nucleus, the nucleoli reappear, the chromosomes become less condensed, the cytoplasm divides in two (cytokinesis) and we have the formation of two genetically identical daughter cells. 00:00 Introduction 01:01 What is mitosis? 02:40 Mitosis is a continuous process 03:41 Before mitosis the cell is in interphase 04:55 Prophase 17:02 Metaphase 22:10 Colchicine 23:27 Anaphase 25:35 Telophase 28:11 Cytokinesis 30:08 Prometaphase 31:18 Summary GET TO KNOW MY NETWORKS - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ⭐ INSTAGRAM: / paulojubilut ⭐ TIKTOK: / paulojubilut ⭐ My PRE-COLLEGE: https://bit.ly/aprova_total WELCOME TO MY CHANNEL - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - My name is Paulo Jubilut, I'm a biologist and I've been here on YouTube since 2011 bringing the world of biology to social media.
