Usually, my friend Georgy and I open the first ice here, but this year it was a warm autumn and we didn’t dare to go here. To get to the horseshoe, you need to walk 40 minutes through a swamp, forest and 2 oxbow lakes. It already happened that we didn’t reach the horseshoe itself in 2022, then the weather was also warm. We arrived at dawn, it was already possible to fish without a flashlight. The first thing I did was check the shallows, this is where the bite often starts, but this year the fish decided to choose the depth, and in the shallows there were only small perch.
