The Power of Faith: A Touching Meeting with the Priest of a Deserted Village. In the village of Ellinika Argitheas, we met 82-year-old Father Panagiotis, a man who carries the history and faith of his place. He spoke to us about the village that was once teeming with life, the difficulties of survival and the years he was forced to emigrate. He shared with us his decision to return to take care of his parents and how he found his calling to the priesthood. He moved us with stories about the miracles of the Virgin Mary of Mavromata and the love that people show for the village church. Despite the difficulties of life, Father Panagiotis remains optimistic and believes that faith in God can help us overcome problems. This meeting was a journey through time and a reminder of the value of tradition, faith and love for our place.
