In this review, a compact soldering iron Miniware TS101 with a maximum power of 90 watts using the Power Delivery 3.1 protocol. It has replaceable tips, an OLED display, and compact dimensions. The Miniware TS101 soldering iron comes in a branded box. It contains the soldering iron itself, a replaceable TS-I tip, and a plastic nozzle. It acts as a stand - with it, the soldering iron will not roll on the table, and the tip will not touch its surface. And thanks to the nozzle, you can safely remove the hot tip even with one hand. With the nozzle, the soldering iron lies quite comfortably in the hand, the fingers do not slip on the hot tip. Also included in the kit are detailed instructions, including in Russian, and a Type-C-Type-C cable in silicone insulation for powering the soldering iron using the Power Delivery protocol. Its length is 1 meter. The body of the TS101 soldering iron is made of plastic with a slightly rough surface. It has an unusual shape, but at the grip point it is almost round. The handle of the soldering iron is very compact. This is the smallest soldering iron I have ever had. Its length together with the tip is only 168 mm. The length of the handle is 98 mm. The width at the base is 17 mm, and at the grip point - 15 mm. The soldering iron without a tip weighs 20.3 grams, with a tip 31 grams, and with a tip and nozzle 32 grams. The tips themselves weigh an average of 10.5 grams. The tips here are compact. Their length varies from 103 to 109 mm depending on the tip type. The resistance of all three tips that I have is different (7.34 Ohm, 8.49 Ohm and 7.66 Ohm). As I understand it, the higher the heat capacity of the tip, the lower its resistance. And there is logic in this. The soldering iron is equipped with an OLED display with a diagonal of 0.87 inches and a resolution of 128x32 pixels. There are only two buttons of the controls. On one side there is the TS101 model marking, on the other side there is the Miniware brand name, and on the back there are logos of regulations and the company, as well as information about the soldering iron power supply. The USB Type-C connector is used to power the soldering iron via the Power Delivery protocol with a maximum power of 45 W. That is, it can be powered from power supplies and power banks with the PD protocol. With firmware version 2.0 and higher, the soldering iron supports the PD3.1 protocol, that is, the input voltage is 28 volts. And this is already a power of about 100 watts. To power from DC sources with a voltage of 9 to 24 volts, a 5.5 / 2.5 mm connector is used. The maximum power is 65 W. On the front side on the left there is a screw with a straight slot for fixing the tip. It securely fixes the tip, protecting it from turning. Thanks to this, when soldering, you can easily pry something up or bend the legs of the terminal elements. And on the right is a hex screw for connecting the ground wire. The Miniware TS101 soldering iron only works with the Power Delivery fast charging protocol. Unfortunately, it does not work with the QC2.0 and QC3.0 protocols. When connecting the soldering iron to the USB A connector with QuickCharge protocols, it starts up, but does not heat up, and the display shows a low voltage message. ▬▬▬ Earn on Aliexpress: http://got.by/24utjm ▬▬▬ Earn on Youtube: http://goo.gl/uuHT70 ▬▬▬ Aliexpress app for Android: http://goo.gl/zRvQXf ▬▬▬ ????
