“Min Buri” covers 4 districts: Min Buri, Khlong Sam Wa, Nong Chok and Lat Krabang. Evidence of the first settlement of people in Min Buri occurred during the Thonburi period until the beginning of the Rattanakosin period in 1867 at Wat Saensuk. Min Buri also has an important canal called “Khlong Saen Saep” which was considered important to people in Phra Nakhon and people on the eastern side in the past. During the reign of King Rama V, the government had a policy to promote rice cultivation, which was the beginning of the flourishing era of rice production in Siam, including the “Thung Saen Saep” area. Later, Min Buri experienced economic growth from rice trade and an increase in the population, resulting in the establishment of Min Buri Province in 1902. The government ordered the establishment of a new city in Thung Saen Saep to have a prosperous administration like Thanyaburi Province in Thung Rangsit. Until 1931, “Min Buri Province” was merged with Phra Nakhon Province to save government budget due to the economic downturn after World War I. Later, Min Buri began to enter an industrial society from the policy of the national economic development plan. The first government draft in the early 2500s resulted in the establishment of Bangchan Industrial Estate in 2515. Min Buri city has developed again after the construction of the Orange Line and Pink Line began in 2560-2561 to support future urban expansion. As a result, the Min Buri city area has begun to see changes along both electric train routes. Currently, most of the "Min Buri" area is a rural and agricultural conservation area that is a semi-rural city.
