A shock went through the Brabant village of Mierlo this morning. The graves, walls and the chapel of the Mierlo War Cemetery, a British cemetery, have been defaced with swastikas, Nazi texts and all kinds of swear words by as yet unknown vandals. Last week, the cemetery was also the target of terror. Especially in a period when extensive attention is being paid to the liberation of Brabant in 1944, 75 years ago.
