Send any amount via PIX Key: [email protected] Simple Harmonic Motion (SHM) is a type of periodic motion in which the restoring force responsible for the motion is directly proportional to the displacement of the body in relation to the equilibrium position. In order to study in detail the mathematical relationships involved in a SHM, we use as an example the frictionless horizontal mass-spring system. In this video, we study the vertical mass-spring system and show that such a system also performs a SHM when set to oscillate.
