A loss of members or a lack of active members poses the question for some clubs as to whether and how they can continue in the long term. In the course of these considerations, the question also arises as to whether it would not make sense to work together and merge with another club that pursues the same goals. The merger of clubs is a complex process that is often considered in order to pool resources, use synergies and increase efficiency. The assets, members and obligations of two or more clubs are combined in order to be able to continue working under a common structure.
