Learn the best method to memorize the location of all the notes on the guitar neck in less than 1 week with just 15 minutes of study per day. Check out our complete guitar course for beginners: http://www.descomplicandoamusica.com/... Useful article for those who are starting to play: http://www.descomplicandoamusica.com/... The method works like this: You dedicate 1 minute to memorizing the notes of the markings (frets 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 of the guitar) on the E string (6th string). It is important that this memorization is done in an alternating manner, jumping from fret 1 to fret 5, then from fret 3 to fret 7, and so on, ascending and descending on the instrument neck. Repeat the same previous process for the other strings (A, D, G and B), dedicating 1 minute to each string. Note: The notes of the D and G strings can be easily learned from the E and A strings, using the octaves feature. After completing 1 minute of study on each of the 5 strings, repeat the entire process. Up to this point, you have already practiced for 10 minutes. The last step will be to memorize all the regions where a certain note is found. For example: find all the frets where the note F is found. Then find all the frets on the instrument where the note G is found, and so on, covering the notes F, G, A, B, C, D and E. This study step should take 5 minutes. After completing this 15-minute study, you can rest and return to practice the next day. Certainly in less than 7 days all the notes on the guitar neck will already be memorized with this method. The logic of this process is based on the construction of small memorization blocks and the concept of short-term memory (or working memory) and long-term memory. Studying the same thing for a long time in a single day is not efficient because short-term memory stores information for a short period of time. Our brain needs to understand that this information is important, and for that it needs to be repeated many times on different days, after a few nights of sleep, so that the information is transferred from short-term memory to long-term memory.
