As a result, these 2,700 hp diesel locomotives were imported from Romania from 1977 onwards. The German Reichsbahn classified 200 units as series 119. The first operating results were depressing. Only through the so-called "Germanization" - the exchange of vulnerable engines and components for those produced in the GDR - could the locomotives slowly be upgraded. At the beginning of the 1990s, the submarines were still in Reichsbahn outfits. Enjoy watching.
