Ahoj My first mega march and for this I went to the High Black Forest to Freiburg im Breisgau. In the border triangle with France and Switzerland lies the little town embedded by the Dreisam in a beautiful valley in Baden-Württemberg. It's actually always sunny in the Black Forest... except on that weekend when there was a good portion of rain before the sun. hmpf 9 hours of travel was a sad occasion :D. The last time I ran 50km was a while ago. My last extreme march of 42km in Wacken was close to giving up. Now there were 1200m of elevation and an additional 8km. It had been even longer for my hiking buddy Dominik. So the best conditions to give up early and sit by the warm fireplace. Many thanks again to Moritz from the Mega March, who provided a ticket and 2 event shirts for a competition. @megamarschofficial You can see in the video whether we made it to the finish and what I experienced on the tour.
