Finally back on the Baltic Sea! And in this fantastic weather! I packed my jacket in my backpack at the start at 7:45 a.m. in Grömitz, a T-shirt and sweatshirt were enough. The sweatshirt also had to be replaced later. ???? Unfortunately, as a result, I got sunburnt on my arms, neck and a little on my face. I had to air my cap every now and then, but the sunglasses had to last from start to finish. ???? After the start in Grömitz, we first went a little along the Baltic coast, past the pier and the Ferris wheel. Then we went a little inland over field and forest paths. In Cismar, I deviated a little from the hiking route and looked at the monastery. Back in Grömitz, we also went through the beautifully landscaped spa park. On the paths there you could see the many droppings left by the crows that nest in large numbers in the trees. Luckily, I didn't get caught. After the marina, we continued along the Baltic Sea towards Scharbeutz. After a steep coastline, there was a difficult descent to the beach. There was a bit of a traffic jam there. The beach areas were also a bit difficult and I hoped not to scoop up too much sand. In Pelzerhaken, I treated myself to an ice cream ???? because my body needed to cool down a bit. I got envious looks for that. Neustadt in Holstein has a beautiful harbor and some sailors were preparing their boats for the season. I met more and more hikers coming from the opposite direction because there was also the option of starting from Scharbeutz. Once we arrived in Scharbeutz, we first had to share the long beach promenade with Urkaubern. To make up the 50 km as a route, we had to do another lap here too. And there it was finally, the destination! Luckily, the shuttle bus drove back to Grömitz promptly and I was able to shower my sweaty body. Was the sunburn and the slightly sensitive feet worth it? Absolutely! Thanks to the organizer and the many volunteers. Big compliments! ???? It was a great event.
