In search of copper, non-ferrous and precious metals, I am dismantling an old Soviet Jupiter 203-1 stereo reel-to-reel tape recorder for scrap metal. Let's see if there is any copper in it and how much of it there is. In general, Soviet equipment is often rich in copper and precious metals, so let's hope for a good haul of metals. The tape recorder is heavy, which means there is definitely something in it. This tape recorder is disassembled quite easily, there are almost no hidden fasteners. Inside, I immediately found two transformers, it is clear that they have copper winding, it is also clear that there is an electric motor with copper wire winding inside. To get to the boards that may contain valuable radio components, you need to disassemble the entire case. The case is wooden, but inside it is reinforced with powerful aluminum plates, the tape recorder's speakers are also placed on them. There was a lot of aluminum inside the reel-to-reel tape recorder, many rollers and other small parts were made of it. But there was still more ordinary iron by weight. In general, the reference book of the content of precious metals shows that this tape recorder is very rich in valuable parts containing gold and platinum, but in reality it most likely depends on the year of manufacture of this tape recorder, since before the collapse of the USSR, precious metals began to be saved a lot. It's good that at least they did not save on copper. Disassembling the tape recorder for metal turned out to be long, but I did not find many rich boards inside. Although the transformers inside the tape recorder pleased with the copper content, the engine also turned out to be rich in copper, although the engine stator will have to be burned since the copper is heavily covered with glue and it is not easy to get it out. Good copper veins were in the power cord, and there were also some copper wires for burning. But I managed to get less gold than I expected, but still the piggy bank of gold-containing radio components was replenished. The copper piggy bank was also replenished. Of course, for disassembling into scrap metal, reel-to-reel tape recorders of earlier years of production are better, where they did not save on metals, there the yield in money can be really good. I hope the video about dismantling the Jupiter 203-1 stereo reel-to-reel tape recorder into scrap metal will be interesting and informative. Enjoy watching everyone. Thank you all for watching. I wish everyone a successful search, collection and cash delivery of scrap metal, especially non-ferrous metals and copper. Enjoy watching everyone. Thank you all for watching!
