Vladimir Yanushko: "The main task facing the plant's team today is to complete the preparation of production and a complete transition to the production of the third generation from January 1, 2027. That is, all of our passenger vehicles will already be completely of the third generation! We are completing the transition period [when] we have [the production] of both 203, that is, the second generation, and 303, the third generation." Let us recall that the MAZ-303 is a completely low-floor bus, which the Minsk residents first presented at the turn of 2019-2020. On the other hand, the second series continues to make MAZ's main cash. Yes, it is almost 20 years old, but, for example, St. Petersburg orders exactly these buses, which are significantly cheaper than the "three hundred and third" family vehicles. Vladimir Yanushko: "Let's say this way, from the point of view of businessmen, that is, commercial sales, well, probably this is good, because, let's say so, there is a line, but from the point of view of the manufacturer, this is wrong. Therefore, we are currently optimizing our model range and ensuring this transition accordingly. This is still, let's say, a rather long period for our transition. I think that we will have to completely switch to the fourth generation in literally two years." A completely new factory building is currently being built for low-floor buses, which will double the production of buses - from one and a half to three thousand per year.
