Photo taken on May 19, 2024. At the "Wakuwaku Railway Festa" held on the previous day, May 18, the first business day of C58 363 equipped with a CH-2 type gate iron differential. Are there 4 to 5 types of smoke deflectors equipped on C58 363? The gate iron differential is scheduled to be installed until June 30. The day was cloudy, changing from the sunny weather of the previous day. I thought it would be more crowded, but there were fewer photographers. There was also a rain forecast, especially in the afternoon, so many people may have avoided it. (It actually started to rain heavily after the last garage entry of the day) Maybe because it wasn't hot, there were insects (like small flies) flying around. They were buzzing around in front of the lens, so the video of the freight train I took as practice was completely destroyed. I hope that carnivorous insects, arthropods, amphibians and reptiles that feed on small insects will become more active in the future. Apparently there was a TV program being filmed at the Hirosegawahara Depot in the early morning. So filming was prohibited between the time the trains were pulled out of the depot and the time passenger cars were coupled. (Even if they had filmed, they couldn't make it public, and if they did, they would be penalized.) People who came later didn't know the situation, so the filming staff warned them each time. I thought, "Maybe they should have done it on a weekday when there weren't many people and no trains running," but I guess there must have been a reason. After finishing preparations for filming, the staff member next to him was filming with his own camera. It's a perk of the job. (At first I thought he was a participant in the depot tour.) It's not in the video, but I think the running sound of the 5000 series 5001 train is abnormal. Compared to the 7000 series, 7500 series, and 7800 series, the "rattling" sound is terrible. If you ride it, you can clearly tell that the sound and vibration are terrible. Is it the motor, the axle, or the wheels? 00:00 C58 363 leaves the depot 04:35 C58 363 passenger cars attached 11:00 Deadhead train departs Hirosegawahara depot 13:15 5001 train passes Hirose Wild Bird Forest station 14:05 5001 train Higuchi station - Nogami station 15:19 5001 train Shiraku station - Mitakeguchi station 16:19 5002 train Higuchi station - Hakure station 17:18 Deadhead train arrives at Hirosegawahara depot 18:48 C58 363 turning work at Hirosegawahara depot 29:58 C58 363 entering the depot
